Introduction
The DTH user base has crossed the 20 million mark in India. In the year 2009 alone, 9 million subscribers were added. The new DTH connections are primarily sold through multi brand retail outlets.
In this scenario, Market Pulse has launched a retail performance track for DTH brands. This research captures the performance of service providers in terms of market shares and brand visibility at the retail level.
This syndicated track enables the service providers and other industry stakeholders to measure the retail performance of various DTH brands in a cost effective manner.
Research Framework
Step 1: Exhaustive census survey was conducted to identify all DTH retail outlets in the cities under study. 12000 such outlets have been identified in the 27 cities under study.
Step 2: A panel of multi brand outlets was selected from the universe, from which we collect sales figures and information on a monthly basis
